Bourne Pre-Seal

Bourne Pre-Seal

Description

Bourne Pre-Seal enhances the natural beauty of wood by filling in the open grains and slight imperfections in the timber. It acts as a barrier coat for resinous and knotty timber. Bourne Pre-Seal has Anti-Grain-Raising properties, is water-based and quick drying. Bourne Pre-Seal may be used directly over raw timber and easy to use as it can be over-coated with all water-based finishes.

Suitable For Use On:
Interior use only.

Not Suitable For Use On:
Previously painted or varnished surfaces.

Drying Times:
• ±1-2 hours depending on surface porosity.
• Drying times may be extended during wet or cold weather.

Coverage:
• 8m²/lt, depending on surface porosity.

Clean Up:
Tools, equipment and all spills can be easily cleaned with warm, soapy water before Bourne Pre-Seal dries.

Special Precautions:

• Note: Exudation of resin cannot be prevented. We recommend that if this problem persists, that a solvent wipe, using QAS522, be applied to the knots or oily timber. Thereafter, sand with 120-150 grit cabinet paper, providing additional keying properties for Bourne Pre-Seal.
